j's grandmother died this morning. she'd been in a local nursing home for a few weeks, and in the hospital before that.
needless to say, we're both really upset right now, and deeply sad. she was a wonderful lady who was sassy and funny and kind and generous, especially to the new girl, which i will never forget. she always made me feel welcome and was just one of the sweetest people i have ever met.
more to come later, as it's been an incredibly long day and it's now a quarter to five. will i ever sleep again?
