In 2001, I volunteered with the Ricketson Memorial Library (as it was known then) as an intern, where I was the main assistant to the director, Ed. The Library was just getting started during my time there, and I was able to get involved in all aspects of its operation, from unpacking boxes and creating an organizational system for the books to fundraising and promotion. Working with the library was the most fulfilling work I have ever done, and I would love the opportunity to assist in any way possible. Thank you for your interest in the library. I’m sure your knowledge of the library would be very beneficial when we begin to organize it. With the upcoming holidays, it looks as though it may be after Christmas before we really begin cataloging, etc. There is some work to be done to reinforce our shelving and make some other adjustments in the library room. I would be happy to keep your contact information and let you know once we begin organizing the library. I would love to have your help!
