please start making khakis again. you know, the cute kind. a few years ago, i could go to any local clothing store and take my pick from rayon or polyester or (yes!) real cotton, flare legs or boot cut...and now there are none. please realize that there are some of us who need them for work, and don't wish to look like interpretive dancers (khaki colored gaucho pants) or old misshapen biddies (everything else currently on the market).

is NOT a wear-to-work outfit, as you have described it, target.com, but a hideous ensemble fit, perhaps, for a jaunty hike to the closest mental care facility. seriously. there is a reason this woman wouldn't let them get her whole face in that shot.
ps. thanks to pstlyfdiva for the tip: j and i did pretty well at the new macy's in town (roanoke has a macy's! roanoke has a macy's!), and had a damn fine time doing it. yay back to work shopping!
